Standard 510 Battery - This is the same battery that comes with the starter kits. 150mAh of power and 65 mm in length. The automatic version of this battery is 180mAh.

510 XL extended life battery - This is a slightly longer battery at 90mm and will give you longer life with 280mAh. Due note that these longer batteries will not fit in a standard 510 carry case or PCC charger case. There is a PCC for the XL battery available below. You can also purchase the 510 XL battery in an automatic version with no button. The auto version are 340mAh.
